About Felt Roofing

Felt roofing has come a long way from the traditional bitumen felt of years past. Today's high-performance and torch-on felt systems use multiple reinforced layers to give a durable, waterproof finish at a lower cost than some alternative systems - a practical choice for sheds, outbuildings, garages and smaller flat roof areas.

  • Cost-effective option for smaller flat roof areas
  • Multi-layer, reinforced systems for improved durability
  • Quick to install with minimal disruption
  • Suitable for sheds, outbuildings, garages and porches
  • Can be finished with a mineral or solar-reflective cap sheet

Our Process

How We Approach Felt Roofing

  1. Old felt is stripped back and the deck is inspected and repaired

  2. An underlay layer is fixed to the roof deck

  3. A reinforced cap sheet is torched or bonded on top for the waterproof finish

  4. Edge trims and flashings are dressed in to complete the job
